I am sure you are all aware of the financial constraints that have been placed on schools in recent years and there is no doubt that we face very challenging times ahead. The overall lack of funding and continuous cuts experienced by our school has created an impossible position for us to purchase essential resources. Therefore, we are reaching out to our school community for financial support to purchase much-needed ICT teaching and learning resources. Our current Interactive White Boards and laptops are very old and out of date, they do not hold the capacity for updates and breakdown on a regular basis. The overall cost of replacing all items is approximately £25,000. Unfortunately, our budget allocation does not stretch to purchasing these much-needed resources as the overall cost of six touchscreen boards alone is approximately £15,000. Therefore, our goal is to secure funding to buy new interactive touchscreen boards for six classrooms. We have received sponsorship from local businesses www.stmaryspsgreenlough.com/sponsorship and parents have made generous donations that we are extremely grateful for. However, we are still short of our goal! We are reaching out to past pupils, friends of our school and the wider community for donations to secure the purchase of these much-needed resources. All donations, big or small, will have a significant impact on our pupil's development and ensure they are given the best opportunities and start in life.
